I had the exact same error message a while back. Took ages to solve. I never found out why but all i did was turn off the wireless on my ap and turned it back on. Bingo. No idea why though. My point is it seemed to be an issue with the wi-fi network not the pi. Sent from my Nexus 6P using Tapatalk
