I'm still waiting for my IR receiver.
In the meantime I finished the buttons/encoder and hooked them up.
Made a funny observation:
The encoder worked to wrong way: clockwise decreased volume, CCW
increased.
So I figured I only need to swap the pin numbers in pikeyd.conf.
Wrong: swapping the
the repository seems to be this:

can you tell how pCP picks up the commands from lirc?

I don't know, but I think if you install it with pCp, you can easy
reconfigure it and save the new config with filetool.sh.

Well, I saw that there, too. It comes in the lower half of the tweaks
page.
I am only hesitant to do this, b/c then pCP is going to accept commands
from the remote.
How do I then cut this connection and have LIRC instead issue keyboard
presses to be picked up by slimmer?

My config: piCorePlayer | piCorePlayer v3.20 | linux
4.9.21-pcpAudioCore_v7 | piCore v8.01 | Squeezelite v1.8.6-986
Is there any way to get the internal wifi of the PI3 working in the
"audio optimized" version?
I heard that this isn't supported - does an external dongle do the
trick?
Thanks,

Thanks. I'll try that later. I'm currently experimenting

I think LIRC can be installed from the piCorePlayer web interface. Never
done that, but as I can remember, I saw that option there.
