Setting the addresses like you did is the best way to do it, there is
some startup timing that confuses the auto detection. I might look in

Hi Ralphy
Thanks for that, I tried it and it did indeed flip the display but

Paul,
I thought I'd mention that I changed the default ssid, since I thought
it might be inviting trouble driving around in a car broadcasting "pCP".
I started to change it to "rolling-pCP" - but that seemed even more
likely to invite attention...
Greg,
In my case rather than having 2 tabs, I had zero player tabs in pCP.
The only tab showing was LMS. Looking at the LMS web interface info
page I was able to determine that the LMS web interface was interacting
with the wireless mac address. From the LMS interface I could start and

I have finally taken the full step and moved all my music (approx. 3
songs in FLAC format, formerly stored on a very old, outdated and
insecure NAS server) to a separately powered 2Tb USB HDD which is now
attached to an RPi3 running pCP 3.22 with LMS. It works great, the LMS
updated the databa

Hi Howard,
Tip I mentioned earlier: robocopy (standard MS command)
xcopy is ancient, I can't remember using it for twenty years.

Hi all,
Loving piCorePlayer, it does everything I need. Thanks to all involved
in the development in this awesome software.
I'm having a problem connecting Wifi when there is a dollar symbol ($)
in the password. I have tried saving it in Wifi Settings in the web
config page, as well as the CLI
Thanks Jeff for all your help. This method does appear to be pretty
slow. It's probably much better if the files just need updated and not
created.
For now I will probably just plug both drives in to my PC and use Xcopy.
Or use Samba to Xcopy from the RPI to a drive plugged in to my PC. I'm

Hi Jeff,
It's running, but very slow. Slower than across the network. The Command
Window times out, but I assume it is still working. When it quit
responding, I closed WINscp and reopened it. I restarted the command and
it seemed to start up where it left off.
Thanks,
Howard

Leave the volume at 100% (0 db) and the extra stuff turned off.

Hmmm, It wasn't/isn't empty. Would one of those commands dis-mounted it?
That seems to be the issue I've had going along, I've noticed.
After I sent the last reply I went to add a new Folder.jpg and noticed
mnt/Music was no longer mounted again. I remounted it and it's all there
now.
So I just

LOL, now you know who or what you're up against... I did these in the
order given. I hope that's right.
/$ ls -la /mnt/Music
total 64
drwxrwxrwx 463 root root 65536 Dec 31 1969 ./
drwxr-xr-x 12 root root 240 Jan 31 20:41 ../
/$ mount | grep mnt/EXTBackup
/dev/sde1 on
Just type the commands below (it looks like you included the prompt when
you tried):
ls -la /mnt/Music
mount | grep mnt/EXTBackup
ls -la /mnt/EXTBackup
mount | grep /mnt/Music/

Hi Jeff,
O.K. I think I have done it correctly.
First, yes, the drive is NTFS and second I have installed (and in use)
Extra Filesystems extension.
mnt/Music is there and I can see all of the Directories and files.
mnt/EXTBackup is also there and I can see the contents

Thanks for the reply.
I think a chunk of that text is also in the piCorePlayer configuration
pages for the Allo Boss. Sounds like leaving the 24db setting well alone
and setting volume to 100% is the way to go.
The setup is proving excellent for the money (OK, the speakers weren't

Hi,
Last night I put together a new player, a Raspberry Pi 3 with Allo Boss
DAC, running piCorePlayer. The plan was for this to be a small player
that would feed an Audio Pro Addon T3 in the bedroom or study. This
would be a nice compact player giving decent enough sound for casual
listening.
