Information on LMS state would be queried from the server cli via IP
(e.g "echo command | nc server:9000).
For other things you'd use vgencmd to get pi temp data, or grab some
code that pulls weather data from an internet service or something. Or
even get a cheap hat/am2320 sensor and measure it
With some great help from this forum I managed to set up a few rPi's and
also an LMS, all based on piCorePlayer.
All the players have 7" or 3,5" touch screens, but the server has none.
I thought it would be nice to have a small 16*2 or 20*4 LCD screen on
the server case with the ability to show
Thanks Paul. I did the update. It updated fine. Tried booting again
with the monitor on and no luck.
Thanks for the idea. It really isn't a big deal. Just a head scratcher.
Have a great weekend,
Howard

Make sure that items per page for the web-UI is the default 50 . Having
200 or so so that you can scroll a bit before selecting next page does
have a performance impact .
And make sure you have decent storage media for your cache: when you're
browsing albums LMS will have to read all the images

on a NAS via NFS.

hardware.
If I ask LMS (via the web interface) to display "Albums with small
artwork" it kills playback until the search has completed.
This is
Happens with both squeezebox touch & squeezelite.
Was 10 seconds with raspbian, so I should be happy now :/
Running on pCP behind a slowish 10Mbps connection a skip usually takes a
bit more than one second here.
It will play a playlist just fine, when a song ends the next one loads
