The next version of pCP will be 3.5.0 (Moving to a new numbering
scheme), which is seems that just about when we start to wrap things up,

cooling. The latest POE spec allows for 70W at the powered device which
is enough for roughly 25Wpc to the speakers
I cant really see a reason for the fan unless these are high power POE
boards as the addon boards that exist toda
Well of course netbooting is extremely useful in a player. The SD is the
most fragile part of a Pi, it is easy to steal or misplace. Get rid of
it and you can conceal a player almost anywhere.
With PoE you can do away with the need for a power socket nearby.

So, no solution found.
Flac/PCM setting on filetypes makes no difference.
Card is Samsung Evo 32GB.
System seems quite idle while streaming from Spotify (check image).
Connection is good (other local LMS works fine with spotty).
So, no clue, really.

I can't really see the point
Ooo, nice little upgrade on network bandwidth. PXE boot too, no more
crappy SD cards with a netboot setup.
Buy one anyway, I'm sure PcP will be updated with a suitable kernel
before long. :)
