paul- and huxmut,
Just built a brand new out of the box player, 7" official touch screen,
RPi3B+ and TeraDak ES9023 and used the method as
If you have a kernel name ending with "_v7" you normally need to use the
related extensions with _v7 in the name. Your issue then would be the 0
size package.
Just yesterday I reported (offline) to Paul that I have _v7 and non-v7
kernel packages on the system (with audiokernel). It's kind of
To expand on Greg's comment, the onboot.lst file is on the second
partition (ext4) so to do this offline you need a computer that can read
and edit files on that partition type.

Hi M-H,
It should just be a matter of adding "net-usb-KERNEL.tcz" to onboot.lst,
remove other network devices and reboot.
While testing, I noticed hot-swapping USB ethernet killed USB wireless.

Hi Gerhardc,
It seems funny
Followed Michaels procedure for the server.prefs file, restarted the
server and I can play music again! And yes, I had port forwarded the
server so I could access music from work -- turned that off!!! Now
retired so don't need that any ways.
Thanks Michael!

Hi Paul,
Indeed getting net-usb to work might need a bit of your involvement ;-)
I started over , plain pcp4 image, pizero 1.2, setup of WIFI dongle
through console.
Used web gui to set 'tc' its password,
That layout is very confusing terminology, but yes in that layout BCM 26
is the same as GPIO26 that hifiberry is referring to.

The end of /opt/bootlocal.sh calls /pcp_startup.sh
Code:
/home/tc/www/cgi-bin/pcp_startup.sh 2>&1 | tee -a /var/log/pcp_boot.log
So - if you edit that to send output directly to /var/log/pcp_boot.log
rather than to tee then it might well do
Hello,
by adding "console=tty3", "quiet", "loglevel=3" and "logo.nologo" to the
"cmdline.txt" I managed to get a black screen during booting. What still
appeares are the console-messages from piCorePlayer while starting. Is
it possible to suppress these messages too so that the screen is
@Ralphy
I am wondering if you could also make pcp-xxx-dev extensions for the sl
dependencies/libs available that you are providing,
to be able to build a custom-squeezelite.
Until now I used the tinycore extensions. That of course also works.
Though I guess you use more up2date or patched

Audiophonic Power Switch Extension cannot be loaded in Version 4.0. The
Message say's "not enough space". The same problem exists in Version
3.5. It works in Version 3.22 and then i upgraded to Version 4.0 and it
works.
Any suggestions?

Hi
is there something like a 100 ohm Resistor in the switch?
RPI dont like switches without a Resistor, these switches are too fast.

I just changed the mode to be NC instead of NO, now the music's playing.

I have inserted the following into my /etc/rc.local to guard against
this occurrence:

I did that and it all seems to be working now. It made several log
files, perfmon.log, scanner.log and server.log.
There is some sort of exception in scanner.log but
Dear All,
