It seems that the problem only matters to Audiophiles, otherwise someone
would fix it. _I'm_not_making_promises_, but I'll see if I can build a
4.14 based rt kernel and make. It would only be for the Allo
USBridgeSig.

I don't see USB mentioned in there.

Unfortunately, pCP 4.1.0 doesn't support my Allo USBridge Signature, so
I can't use it. Th

The SD card is likely to wear out faster. Do what Paul Webster

Paul, could you make an image of PiCorePlayer 6 audio core with Linux
kernel 4.14? There is a problem with 4.19, it makes dropouts with USB
audio devices.
zlib's
I wouldn't worry about it. IMHO the hard disk is a better spot for the
LMS Cache than the internal SD card.

You could put a USB stick in the RPi and reconfigure pCP to make LMS use
that as the cache.
Then your DD (Disque Dur/Hard Drive) would not be accessed (except when
playing local music and scanning).

Should I leave it like this, or should I modify it, and how do I do
that, so that the SD stays on standby?
Merci

Yup, and that is why the disk wakes up. LMS is updating it's cache.
