then, Completely safe to do.The only time anything is written to the
SD card is when you make a change in the web interface, requiring a
backup to be done.

Yes. But nothing has changed since it was working well a few days ago.
I'll rearrange some stuff.
Thanks.

Doesn't have to be the wifi on the rpi. Are any 2.4ghz wifi devices
located in the area?

Stuttering problem are likely because you are trying to run wifi too.
Don't do it, unless you are running a pi3B+/4B+ using a 5ghz channel.

Hello, I found the solution myself. The pikeyd service could not be
started because the kernel module /dev/uinput in pcp6 is not started.
The solution was to enter the "modprobe uinput" command in the
/opt/bootlocal.sh file before pikeyd was started.
Here are my installation steps for "Slimmer"
I had things working well until recently. Now playing to a BT speaker
(UE BOOM 2), the audio stutters on a repeated pattern. Flawless for
15-20 seconds, then broken up for 15-20 seconds, then flawless for 15-20
seconds, broken, and repeat. It happens for both internet radio and
locally stored

Which player have you selected from the drop down selection?

Followed the patch procedure and made sure to leave the bluetooth source
playing for 2-3 minutes but still have no output from PcP.
Thanks for the fast update.

Apologies for the delay downmix release is now ready for prime time
Follow instructions on distro readme
I removed the need for wiringpi and the Adafruit library, all
requirements are now met within lmsmonitor
Code:
Usage -n "player name" [options]
options:

Bluetooth has grown into its own animal, so I would like to separate the
conversation regarding Bluetooth stuff.
Current Capabilities.
Speaker - A2DP Source - Play from piCorePlayer to a bluetooth connected
speaker.
Player - A2DP Sink - Play directly from your phone or other bluetooth
music
The name should not be a problem since to change the dropdown to
"Streamer" you have to save, and the web interface will make you remove
the bad characters.
Also - S_i_O, You are not running the latest bluetooth packages,
please update.

I thought I'd give this Bluetooth streaming a try.
One thing I saw that I suspect only causes a presentation problem - but
perhaps something else goes wrong later as well.
I tried to stream from an iPad - and it has the default name that iOS
created for it ... something like

I think "SSD card" was simply a typo.

Hi, I have been running PcP since version 4 on a RPi1B+ and a DAC card
and had no issues at all using it as a squeezebox. I am trying to add
Bluetooth Direct Play to this and have upgraded to PcP6.0.0.006 but not
having any joy.
I have completed a clean install of PcP-6.0.0 and then followed
Okay, that looks fine..go to Diagnostic then Logs in pCP, there is
an option to show all logs. Look for the pcp-streamer log. One thing
to note, when streaming like this, there can be a lag Ive seen it
as high as 10 seconds.

Can confirm, I redid the steps and named the new favourite
"_Bluetooth2_", which works no problem.:D

I have a play button by mine but I've seen it both ways. I'm not
sure why LMS does that. It's not
Not dmesg output, there is a show log option on the bluetooth page.

Well I investigated, and can confirm it

If you are running pCP as a player only then simply cutting the power
should not cause a problem because pCP runs everything in memory and
only writes out to storage when you ask it to (e.g. making a
configuration change).
However, it is unlikely that you would be using SSD in that
configuration

Can I just understand what people's view is on cutting off the power via
the plug having a PiZeroW with a WIfI Berry mini amp coupled to it. Will
not cutting the wall plug damage the SSD card
