Hi there,
i tried to set up a Pi1B together with a 3.5 TFT with PCP6.0 following
this guide http://www.pughx2.com/picore3.html
i got Jivelite running but touch didn't respond. So i went back to PCP
4.1 as stated in the guide. Got jivelite showing up but touch didn't
work here either.
I have read
Hi all. I'm familiar with debian based systems but lost when it comes to
the workings of tinycore.
I'm running pcp 6.1.0 and it seems cool. I've installed the ffmpeg
library which should include alac. Is it possible now to recompile
shairport-sync to include alac support?

Not sure why root access should be required to scp files to
piCorePlayer. User should be tc and files should be written by default
to /home/tc. Using "pi" or "dietpi" will give Permission Denied (I do
this accidentally all the time when switching between boot images)

I use "sudo -s" in winSCP if I require root access.

hi psychokiller,
Unfortunately I don't have USB DACs other than a $5 USB Headphone amp,
so my experience is limited to that.
Code:
$ alsamixer
$ sudo alsactl store
# Check ALSAlevelout="Custom" has been set in your pcp.cfg file.
$ grep ALSAlevelout < /usr/loca

Which poweroff command?
If you are referring to the one that is sent to LMS to power off a
player ... then no.

Just as an additional question, if you send the poweroff command to pcp
(as opposed to halting the Pi) would that then protect the LMS cache
enough to actually remove power?

Hi all,
I am having an issue with an external USB DAC gain in piCorePlayer after
updating to 6.x.x version.
When I try to use the "Card Control" button on the Squeezelite page i
get a warning that it can't be used to control a USB DAC:
- *Sorry, you cannot control a USB DAC from this page*

Thanks Paul for the info.
FYI, native playback of WMA Lossless and WMA Pro files is not really
important to me. Apart from the test files that I created I don't use
these formats in my music collection.
I would prefer however that future versions of piCorePlayer still
support normal WMA 9.2 fil

I'm not running LMS, the PiCorePlayer is a Roon end point and this
working perfectly for the USB connected speaker.
The BT speaker is connected and I can see it in the BT panel. How do I
direct the Squeezelite output to the BT speaker?

if you are going to open this a lot you can save the link
piCoreplayer doesn't need this procedure (I think, from memory)

We are going to drop support for WMA in the future versions of

Hi All,
Since a week I have piCorePlayer running on a Raspberry Pi ZeroW, and am
very pleased with it. I encountered a few issues however with native
playback of WMA files (to be specific: WMA Lossless and WMA Pro files)
that I want to report here.
For native playback of ALAC and WMA files I in
@Paul-Webster - WinSCP looks like just what I needed.
@shunte88 - WSL 2 looks a great way of learning a bit of Linux.
Thanks guys :)

like the script I ran for moOde. Unfortunately I am not a Linux user, I

you would know if the BT was the problem, I expect it is.
I have two Rpis in the salon and they sync perfectly, neither uses BT, I
have a third portable RPi0 and that syncs to, again no BT.
I'm sure I've moved mSDs from RPi0
