I am glad you found the right solution for you. We are lucky there are
so many good Audio distro's for the RPi.
With a minimal distribution like pCP there will always be a bit more
work to do to get things going (other than the basic setup). Those
distros that use a "traditional" Linu

Ok, thank you for theses info's. Actualy i had to downgrade to the 4.xx
version to auto connect to my S.M.S.L. AD18 amplifier. Thats my solution
until now.

I have a raspberry pi 3b+ with hifyberry amp2. Sound is great. Output
via Bluetooth does not work. Loudspeaker is connect. where can I choose

It was a change as I wanted to support multiple connections.
If there is no device connected, I could possible run a connection
polling routine. But once a device connects the polling would have to
stop, as that would cause the connected device to hang.
