It runs fine on mine too, but I think there is a firmware revision that
has a problem.

Last night I upgraded my living room player to 6.1.0. This is on a 2B
board and I'm using the official 7 inch touch display.
All is working well except for the touch panel. The panel does not react
to touch input. I have checked an rechecked all the connections but all
seems well
Nothing changed there. You can connect a usb keyboard up to get past
that.

Forgot to mention with the HDMI version there is also a little SW setup
to get the HDMI resolutions configured and the touch screen but this is
well documented on the forums and as a recall some links on the
Waveshare site.
