my Setup looks like this:
1x Raspbeery Pi 3b with Picoreplayer 6.0.0. LMS 8.0.0 is running here.
Connected with Ethernet.
2x Pi Zero with Picoreplayer 6.0.0
Everything is running fine without using synchronization. When i
synchronize the players, the PI3 is going inactive for a short time

The folks at RPi documented some increases in 64bit. There are for sure
some improvements, but nothing that is "benchmarkable"
