The different attempts were using different "vers=" values.
So try explicitly setting vers=3 in the pCP options.

I tried playing with the options on the mount command, and the first try
worked. You can see the command in the screenshot below, along with the
response.

You can see that it tries seven times and finally succeeds. (Hooray!!)
Unfortunately, I understand almost none of it. The options in

Checking back in to see what the state of play is now pcp8 is out.
I have enabled the wm8960-soundcard overlay (as well as i2c) but do not
see the card listed with aplay -l
A bit of digging and it would seem that there was a issue with a kernel
option that meant the module wasn't being built:

Sorry, I did mean undervoltage. :o
I seem to have a vague memory about the RPi0 not having the undervoltage
circuitry, but I would like to have confirmation from the RPF
documentation before I change pCP code. Any one have a link?

I'll have to research this ... as I do not know enough about how those
things hang together.

ir-keytables --test shows nothing.
Even without jivelite and cec-ctl running the TV screen shows the same
"not connected" message in response to selecting pCP after finding it.
The issue seems to be that the first thing the TV does when pCP is
selected is to ask GIVE_DEVICE_POWER_STATUS. pCP

What about undervoltage? Think that's more relevant? Wouldn't
overvoltage fry the CPU?

Maybe running cec-ctl in monitor mode stops something working later.
Looking back trough what I did before ... try
Stop Jivelite (and set it to not autostart in pCP while testing)
then
sudo cec-ctl --playback
(might not need sudo on pCP)
To check that it is working...
ir-keytable --test
then p
Not having much success with this. The "low level" CEC communication
between the Samsung TV and pCP8.0 are working fine but pCP does not give
satisfactory answers to queries from the TV.
Initialising cec-ctl in monitor mode
Code:

The Synology died, I bought intel-based Synology DS220+, but DSM 7.0 did
