I too have been thinking of something like this. IÂm a big fan of
traditional controls even if they are digital behind the scenes.
Although you have mentioned control via ipeng etc. If you implement a
touchscreen it makes navigation very simple while standing in front of
the unit so a no braine

You did not need to load LMS on pCP at all if its running on your
synology
You might as well remove it from pCP and save a little power.

I am able to get LMS on my Synology
UID and GID are for CIFS mounts. Those options don't work with NFS.
You should only have vers=3 in your mount options.
