Thanks for letting me know.
I quite understand that AMD64 offers a whole lot of other issues!!
Thanks for your assistance to this point and I will just see if I can
get to the bottom of things on my own, unless I can get assistance from
elsewhere.

I have now also attempted the clean install with squeezecenter7.1 and it
still does not work.
Does anyone have any idea if it could be because I am using an AMD64
architecture rather than i386?
Thanks,
:-)

know.

I have the WebGUI Extensions-> Squeezecenter option - that's how I
performed the install of the Squeezecenter CPAN tgz.
Any ideas?

Thanks, I didn't realise that you meant the Squeezecenter server log.
On the DATA partition there is no log at /var/squeezecenter/Logs/ and I
can't find any logs elsewhere. Presumably this indicates that there is
nothing running to generate a logfile!

I could show the log, except that because I'm a newbie with FreeBSD I
don't know how to get a copy which I can paste here. I can view it with
vim (via ports), but no more than that.
Can you still help?
:-)
-
wrong, but why will Squeezecenter not
start correctly - I have waited and restarted and waited and still
nothing.
Any further thoughts?
Thanks for your help so far.

f file) or a
problem with the version of php/perl that is being used by FreeNAS. I
have used pkg_add to install perl5-8-8 and I tried to install php5, but
this made the FreeNAS WebGUI unusable.
Can anyone help with this please
