I used the Play Store version and pkg could not find squeezelite, hence
the instruction to use apt.

I'm using Ubuntu 16.04 and have WOL working.
There is a delay of about 10 seconds before the computer becomes visible
to the network after wake. This is consistent with when the lights start
flashing on the network socket.
Is there a way to shorten this delay?
Thanks

Here is a shell script that takes input from the mouse scroll wheel to
change the volume of the named local player. I wrote it with a view to
hacking a Poundland mouse plus rotary encoder to put a real volume knob
on my LMS / Squeezebox computer. I would welcome any comments or
suggestions.

I tried to use the alarm clock on my new server set up and found that it
didn't work. The server is normally suspended and wakes properly using
WOL. Wake set by OS is set in the BIOS.
Digging a little deeper:

I've just moved from a Windows XP Squeezebox server to a new Ubuntu
machine and needed to sort out the power management.
Ubuntu power management appears to simply look for keyboard and mouse
activity to determine if the machine is in use, and consequentially will
suspend even if playing music. O

I think there is a gap in my knowledge here. I guess picoreplayer writes
some settings other than the ones I have actively changed and saved. My
picoreplayer is at 192.168.1.10 -

The LCD script starts automatically.
Do you have access to the web interface?

I am puzzled as to why the image isn't working for you, Robert.
I'm running with an SD card made from the same image!
As you don't have a monitor it is hard to diagnose the problem. Perhaps
some others could try the image, even if not interested in the LCD, just
to cast some light on this proble
