[SlimDevices: Unix] 6.5.0 on Mandriva 2006?

Any help on installing this on Mandriva 2006? What is wrong with mandriva that this is such a problem? It seems like it should be easy based on what other people are experiencing on other distros. But I am getting no love here. Help! -- dnoyeB
