Further to my previous post, I had a thought, probably a stupid one.
Can LMS be forced to run entirely from RAM? That way the type of boot
media would have no effect on performance? Or is there not enough RAM?

I'm currently reconfiguring my LMS/Pi setup and am wondering whether or
not to let LMS run on pCP alongside a Squeezelite instance or not. In
terms of SQ performance, does Squeezelite prefer to have a Pi to itself?
I'm happy to devote a Pi to this, but could find other uses for it if
it doesn't

Thanks. I have no idea what those settings mean but I will have
I was just in settings and saw that v.8.0.0 is available, so I updated
in-situ, which went smoothly.
The reason I was looking at settings was to try wi-fi instead of
ethernet. The next logical step is to disble ethernet - is this
possible in PCP? I have looked through settings but could not se

Doesn't seem so. Think I'll try my luck on the Khadas forum.

Hi. I started a discussion on the thread 'ANNOUNCE: piCorePlayer 5.0.0'
(starts on page #518) and it was suggested to start a new thread (thanks
to @Man in a Van and @paul- for their help so far). To summar

All I can see is:
No8 [XMOS 8 Channel extend]: 8 Channel Ext FPC Connectors Pin-Out (J3)
13 VOLUME
... which means very little to me

Me neither! All I understand is that the volume output of the
ESS9038Q2M* can be controlled by the XMOS on the Khadas board (or
alternatively by 'this widget'

Many thanks ronnie @Man in a van. Tonight will be my first chance

There is some info here...

Hello slimdevices world!
I would like to enable the hardware volume control functionality of the
Khadas Tone Board DAC (ESS9038Q2M), i.e. controlled through PCP LMS. It
has been done is on Volumio but I do not want to go (back) there (I am
very happy with PCP!)
Has anybody here managed it? I
