The short answer: chown fixed it in the short term but was more of a
work around solution. The real problem was that my drive was not system
mounted via FStab (I didn't understand about this before). Doing this
made the disk availa
Okay - I think I got to the bottom of it on my own! It is now working -
at least for now. :)
It seems the problem was being caused by the second drive being
auto-mounted by the desktop, rather than being mounted by the system.
This meant that LMS couldn't access it.

My problem miraculously fixed itself when I ran the script - it said
that LMS was already running and then it was. I think the problem was
caused by Ubuntu Desktop being too much for my old Core 2 duo to handle,
and I was running a lot of other services. Suffice to say, I had another

LMS has been working fine on my Ubuntu box but has recently stopped
working (ie I can't access the browser GUI and access it from my
Squeezebox Radio). I have tried uninstalling it and reinstalling but
still nothing. The install process does not throw up andy errors. I have

I have recently re-purposed my old desktop PC as a 'server' running
Ubuntu LTS 12.04. I want to use the machine as my primary squeezebox
