I edited /etc/squeezecenter/server.conf . I just checked the
/var/lib/squeezecenter/prefs/server.prefs and it seems to be in sync
with the server.conf file but things aren't working.

I configured my SqueezeCenter to only allow a defined set of hosts to
access/manage the squeezeCenter. I wanted to add a host/network to that
list, but I'm not actually within one of the allowed networks/hosts. I
can SSH to the server. With SlimServer I was able to just modify the
conf file
