Logitech support has just shipped a replacement squeezebox. Hopefully
this boils down to some freakish technical issue on the box itself.

I've tried running against squeezecenter installed on windows vista.
I've also tried replacing the wireless router with a brand new I
managed to borrow from a local store.
Unfortunately similar experience in both instances.
The only component I haven't replaced or removed is the Duet/receiver
I have had similar problems, which have gotten worse as SC evolves. I
have an ubuntu box running SC 7.2.1 -- web interface works great.
Connections to the Duet drop all the time, and my older SB 3's work
better, but still pretty crappy compared to older days/versions of SC.
Songs are all on a NAS
The few times I experienced similar problems when I had a Squeezebox v3
I pulled out the power from the Squeezebox and tried again. The problem
in your case seems to be with the SB itself since it's the one sending
the reset packets, and because the server works with Softsqueeze.

I did try in the early stages - but i'll have another go tonight.
I have attached a iptraf log from the server:
Server is 192.168.0.150
Squeezebox 192.168.0.102
Remote 192.168.0.101
Log extracted while power up, playback from server, playback from
internet radio and power off.
I've noticed that
Watching disk and network usage, I think the squeezecenter tries at or
near each beginning of song to send a burst of data to fill the
player's buffer, and then goes after it more lightly, just for refills.

a Debian fileserver (4.0) on following hardware:

- AMD 1800+
- 1 * 120 GB SATA Seagate HD (OS)
- 1 * 320 GB SATA Seagate HD (Files)
- 10/100 MB/s ethernet connection to D'Link 524UP wireless router.
