I would like to try the 8.0 LMS Version, but I don't know how :-(
1) When I try the nightly update button within piCorePlayer, it
obviously only checks within the 7.9.2 branch
2) When I follow these instructions (as in

That said I had a moment of confusion, too. The update would first check
for an update download url in /tmp/slimupdate/update_url. That file is
created by the installed LMS. Make sure that file does not exist any
more before you try to upda
Uh, oh... I just saw that all 8.0 builds but the .deb files have
disappeared from the downloads site. I've seen this a few days ago
already, but thought this was an accident of some kind. But it seems to
repeat itself. I'll have to see with IT what's wrong there. I'm going to
kick off new build

image but prior to removing the sd card, but the pi does not connect to

I did consider that I just had made a typo, but I have checked my
settings and did not see one. I do have an exclamation mark in my
password and it is WPA2 AES...would either of those affect this config?

IF you are using special characters, then you must use this format.

I had tried using that format (per the instructions on Picoreplayer
website) but to no avail. So I re-flashed the sd card and tried
again...no luck.
Then i put the same SD card in a second PiZero...and it worked!

Never had problems with my pis that I didn't do something stupid and
damage them. However, there are alot of exposed sensitive electronics,
it can happen.

One works flawlessly the other displays frequent dropout. Guess which

If you want good wifi on a zeroW, disable the onboard wifi and get an
external USB stick... better yet, save $5 and just get the Zero to
begin with.
