I copied the i386 version of CPAN I built to the linux tarball file. I
see that under CPAN there is not i386 version released with that file
(explains why it perl is finding the OS versions and they are not
compatible.) Examining the distributed version of CPAN I see that some
of the perl modules
For clarity, I have _not__ tried using the version of CPAN I built from
scratch with the tar file I downloaded today and ran. I just tried to
run the slimserver within the directory of the distribution I
downloaded.
In this case you'll have to make sure you manually copy the resulting

How did you build the binaries? Did you pick the 7.9 branch of
https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver-vendor? It seem you built some
files with version conflicts.

Hi,
After 5 or 6 years I replaced the drive on my small atom based music
server with a larger SSD drive. I chose not to clone the drive as it was
about time I updated the OS and improved security. I installed Ubuntu
17.04 and then downloaded the released debian/ubuntu build for LMS.
It did not run
