Is it right: There
startproc -u $SQUEEZEBOX_USER $SQUEEZEBOX_BIN $SQUEEZEBOX_ARGS
Could you please try
$SQUEEZEBOX_BIN $SQUEEZEBOX_ARGS --d_startup
instead?

Not very, but a bit.
What I tried, is to do the commands of the startupscript
/etc/initd/squeezevoxserver step by step. It ends with

you please post it? As much as you can find? No, sorry, There aren't any
log-files with squeezeboxserver on my system

How comfortable do you feel on the command line? You could try to run

It's a 32 bit system
glibc is version 2.18-4.4.1.
It's perl 5, version 18, subversion 1 (v5.18.1) built for
i586-linux-thread-multi.
While we do indeed lack binaries for this platform on 7.8, 7.9 should be
fine. Did you really try it?

Thanks for your response, chrissy.
Meanwile I found, that the same problem was discussed 'here'
some months ago, but without solution. I don't know, why I didn't find
it earlier. so I'm g
Is it 32bit or 64bit?
But in fact I have no more ideas. Maybe you ask Michael Herger.

No, squeezeboxserver not running.
I unistalled squeezboxserver. After that /etc/squeezeboxserver didn't
exist. I deleted /var/lib/squeezeboxserver. Installed lms_7.9 nightly
again. Same problem. :(

Check if the squeezeboxserver is running ( ps uxa) gives you a list of

If not, uninstall the squeezboyserver (rpm -e logitechmediaserver)
Remove the following directories (removes your preferences from old
installs)
rmdir /etc/squeezboxserver
rmdir /var/lib/squeezboxserver

Hi and thanks for your response.
I tried 7.8 and 7.9 with same result. I just found an additional line

Code:
Process: 32370 ExecStart=/etc/init.d/squeezeboxserver start (code=exited,
status=7)
It seems, that the problem is not connected
Hi,
you should try a newer version than 7.7.5. On my SUSE 13.1 Server 7.8.0
works fine. The 7.9 nightly builds should do too.
