has more traffic, found the answer there. Or at least the "good enough"
answer... downloaded the 7.8 beta version and it worked fine. Go figure.

Mint MATE 17.1 the other day. Previously, I had Mint 14 and things
weren't updating, so I figured I'd got for the latest and greatest,
especially since it is a LTS. I downloaded the latest LMS 7.7.5 and
installed with GDebi p
