OK scratch that ^^ it's working now.
Not quite sure what I did, but in tweaks > shareport-sync config I
changed my Output Device from hw:CARD=DAC to sysdefault:CARD-DAC, and
Output Control to "alsa" and was then able to set the volume globally in
Squeezelite Settings > Alsa Mixer. For some
I'm struggling with this too since updating to pCP 8. Any fixes?

Installed shairport-sync through picoreplayers tweaks menu to enable
airplay support. After some configuration I got it working with my
active bookshelf speakers. However, the max volume is much lower
compared to streaming stuff through LMS. Is there a way to tweak the
volume settings to make the
