I ran into a strange case of no sound coming from my transporter this
morning. Tried everything I could think of with the OS and
SqueezeCenter settings...all to no avail. Finally, a factory reset of
the transporter (hold down "+" on the IR remote while plugging in the
transporter's power cord) p
Hi,
Would you please tell me how you did it? I have the same problem I
think but I am new to Linux. It is running on my QNAP TS239, Linux
kernel 2.6.24. I checked on the web but iptables doesn't seem to run in
my QNAP kernel. Or is it something you can configure from SC?

I opened port 9000 and it now works. I never had to do this before.

Got it working now, but my problem was that I had port 9000 firewalled
on the squeezecenter machine. Opening up that TCP port fixed
everything.
Sure the firewall is disabled for you? I think there might be a bug in
the system-config-firewall program that means that 'disable firewall'
doesn't wo
If so, can you email me a list of your install RPMs so I can compare to
my system?

What type of files are you playing and how is your transcoding setup? If
you're playing files which are supported for native playback there
shouldn't be much that the server can do to mess up the sound :)

I rebooted (dual boot) into Windows and installed SqueezeCenter and it
works fine. Of course, running Windows all the time for me isn't an
option.

9. I have installed the 7.1 version of Squeezecenter and it appears to
work, but I get no sound. My Squeezebox is plugged into my amplifier.
The amp is on, the Squeezebox is on and responds to Squeezecenter, says
