I seen in my squeezecenter that there was a update. 7.0 to 7.1. I
downloaded the squeezecenter_7.1_all.deb and went in webmin to
uninstall the 7.0 one. Then the same place in webmin to show it were I
downloaded the 7.1 and it installed it.

Just to let the op know he isn't crazy, I have noticed the exact same
thing. It's not scientific, but there normally is a definite difference
in "blink" speed when a player is playing and when it is idle. For me it
is about 5 or so when it is playing and about once a second when idle.

How do you know how
The is no problem. But I was thinking some hacker got in my system and
was sending or receiving data a lot by the Packet LED's flashing very
fast and they never stop. Till a reboot. Or now I found out till a Kill
command and then if I start to play music again that's when they start
flashing again
SC sends data all the time to SB as SC controls the display. SSo even
when not playing any music, SC still has to provide data for the
display.

The process you are killing is the SC Server.
The lights stop blinking because the server has to restart.
(ie, when you kill off squeezecenter-server, squeezecenter_safe just
restarts it. Hence why you are then able to go back to listening to
music.)
