That's it there: a shell script as process 7974, and slimserver itself
as 7983. The shell script is there to restart the server if it dies.

Thanks for the help. After doing some snooping I did figure out that it
was indeed slimserver already running. The reason I could not connect
was that using "localhost" did not work. My computer name is "ubuntu"
and I had to go to http://ubuntu:9000 to get in. I found that out by

although I'm surprised it didn't work by default.

It should be there... something is odd with Ubuntu if it's not.

Indeed I did! Been configuring Samba recently, so I've got that on my
brain. I thought the same thing since it didn't work for FaytIND by
default, mine did.
