Thanks for all of the feedback, guys.
I do plan to file bugs for any issues I see. I just wanted to get a
feel for whether or not I should expect show stoppers right out of the
gate, so I could schedule the update accordingly. :)

I'm running amd64 ubuntu and I reported some of the bugs. AFAIK they
are all resolved and you shouldn't have any problems ... although it is
still beta, so if you do, file a bug!

I think the key thing that everyone missed is that you're running 64
bit.
I've seen a few threads with certain CPAN libraries failing on 64 bit,
and IIRC they are not resolved.
I'm concerned about this
I have been running SC 7.0 on my Ubuntu 7.10 machine for a while now -
boy it is a nice advance over the 6.X version. Very slick.

*Headphone rig:* Headroo
I too have been using the debian package on my Kubuntu server. No
problems at all.

I've been running it for months. I do nightly updates from the latest.
Right now I'm running SqueezeCenter Version: 7.0.1 - 17725 -
I've seen the ongoing threads about possible problems with the SC7
Debian package, and it wasn't clear to me if it was all resolved or
not.
I'm running a mid-January build of SC7 on Ubuntu gutsy 64-bit. I've
got my apt-get source set to the SC testing tree currently, but I plan
to switch that to
