I use Synology NAS with both NFS and CIFS, both work fine. Perhaps
show us a screen shot of your network mount configuration on pCP.
Hopefully you are not confusing yourself by running LMS on both synology
and pCP.

The share is setup and is currently accessible for scanning from the
synology LMS app.
I added NFS Permissions and gave :
-specified subnet for access (192.168.10.*/24)
-read/write
-map all users to admin

folders that the Synology LMS app can successfully scan? I have set the
permissions as directed in the piCorePlayer setup instructions.
