Problem resolved a clean install of ClearOS 5.1 seems to have
solveded the problem.

Sorry to resurrect a somewhat ancient thread, but I just upgraded my
CC4.2 distro to the new ClearOS 5.1 and I'm getting the same error and
it won't let me install the new version of squeezecenter at all. it
isn't just a warning. According to

I'm a Linux newbie looking to try my luck with another distro besides
Ubuntu. I installed CC 5.0B3 on its own partition in the old Dell that I
use to run Ubuntu 9.04 & I can get into webconfig from my WinXP box, but
I can't see how to install SC.

I'm usually a believer in -"if it ain't broke, don't fix it"- and have
been running various versions of SqueezeCenter very successfully under
ClarkConnect 4.2 Community Edition. However it seems that the death
knell has been sounded for support of this version and I don't want to
be running an OS
