You are using a very old version of slimserver with lots of known
problems. You should follow the instructions on this page and install
the stable release (6.5.something)

I'm able to connect slimserver with squeezebox and browse music, But
when I try to play something squeezebox says "can't connect to server
fc".
I'm running Slimserver 6.3 on Kubuntu 7.10. Squeezebox V3.
