I noticed this forum discussion. I also noticed that Packages and

versions, only 1 of which is actually available in

This appears to have finally been fixed. I re-enabled it in
sources.list, and over multiple runs of "sudo aptitude update;apt-cache
policy squeezeboxserver", it consistently reports the same available
version (7.5.1~30831).
I discovered this when the Logitech support robot sent me email saying

So a workaround appears to be to specify the
debian-origin.slimdevices.com server in /etc/apt/sources.list and
bypass Logitech's screwed up content delivery system. Worked for me,
anyway.

I've sent an email to Logitech's support department. Hopefully that will
get some kind of followup to this mess.

Even within an individual footprint host, the mirrors are messed up --
the packages file will list one version, but the pool will contain a
different one. So hardcoding the dns in /etc/hosts (which is the usual

Thanks to Marc for adding it.

The root issue for me is that aptitude won't update. I'm at 30649 and
the various repositories have everything from 30649 to 30633, including
30657.
I see very inconsistent Package contents, but aptitude consistently
refuses to update.
Another inconsistency is that pool/main/s contains only one

There are at least 3.
debian.slimdevices.com is an alias for
www.logitech.com.c.footprint.net.
www.logitech.com.c.footprint.net has address 192.221.123.126
www.logitech.com.c.footprint.net has address 4.2
I don't think the repository is the way to install SBS anymore - I think
Logitech just wants us to download the .deb file with the GDebi
Installer.

I use the
debian.slimdevices.com stable main
repo for my Ubuntu server (latest stable release), 8.04 I believe.
I've had it running for years.
I would put this into your apt sources.list
deb http://debian.slimdevices.com testing main
and better to use it that way.

there appear to be three servers for debian.slimdevices.com
debian.slimdevices.com has address 192.221.100.126
debian.slimdevices.com has address 207.123.46.126
debian.slimdevices.com has address 8.12.192.126
The first two show testing as 30659 while the last shows 30649.
