Tried doing a backup after a WiFi change, and rebooting. I get exactly
the same problem, WiFi not working.
On the WiFi configuration pane under "WiFi information" to the right of
the MAC address is displayed "Wifi IP: is missing - [Reboot] or [Save]
to connect."

It's a power issue - I was overloading the Pi PSU by trying to power an
external HD via USB. I couldn't get WiFi to work by editing the
wpa_supplicant.conf file either - but on disconnecting the USB HD it's
again working fine. I'll go back to storing my music on couple of thumb
drives for now.

stick rather than from the SD card?
I am asking because it is easier to change an USB stick that the SD card

There was no Rainbow, the screen keeps Black. The waitusb fla

the usb stick. Ive never done this on a pi3b+, I on do this on my
3Bs. Not sure what the issue could be, but I did just change the
partition alignment to mimic Raspbian in b5. Ill have to check it

Trying latest beta on pi4 4gb. Somehow it stucks at expand sd card. Both
red and green leds of pi light up and stays there forever.

the way the images are built. I would suspect that the latest Raspbian
image will no longer work either. Something to do with partitions. I
reverted to using fdisk and that solved the problem. I'll get an

I downloaded the beta images yesterday and both versions did not work on
the USBridge signature.
In the router no ip adress came up. So i guess the lan driver did not
work or could it be that the images i downloaded have still the
partition problem mentioned above?

The USBrideSig doesnt have a standard network or USB driver, it uses a
special driver that is in the netusb package.
Make an empty file called netusb on the boot drive, and you should be
fine.

Ok
in Windows (10) file explorer i made a file netusb on the boot partition
pcp-boot on the sd card.
No extension. so it is simular to the ssh file for example that is
allready on the sd card.
No luck.
At a normal boot it shows up as a client in my router. Now it does not.
You are using Beta5, correct? I don't have a USBridgeSig, so I cannot
test, but I supplied the B5 image to Allo and Greg Stewart, and they
have no problems.

Pi4 4Gb. Beta5 works fine with usb xmos devices and digi spdif hat.
Tested 64bit version too. Tested LMS within pi4. Everything works ok.

Tested the same image on an rpi and it worked. But i noticed that the IP
only showed up in the router for 2 seconds and then dissapeared.

Sorry - being stupid. My b1 installation on a Pi4 is obviously not
running the 64-bit kernel, so to get that I understand that
You can try. I just didnt have anything running B1 to test. Worst
that happens is you have to burn a new image.

Running fine in 32bit mode :)
The pCP image does not have a 64bit kernel for the pi3B+. I don't plan

That is a really good question. The Pi4 with throttle itself, so you
won't hurt it with no heatsink.
What kind of case do you have? You can graph your CPU temp.
Enable Beta mode in pCP.

Depending on where you got your board from, it may not have the latest
firmware. I just checked, and RPI has moved the VLI chipset update to
critical status.
You can update using pCP, but you need to follow these instructions.

I would just like to say thanks guys. Great job! I installed Beta 6 on
my RPI4 and it runs perfectly. I am using an aluminium heat-sink case
and it runs at around 46C, although I am under-clocking it.

You could boot your RPi4 from recent Raspbian and do a
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
and reboot (if it does not)
and I think you will then get the new firmware for the RPi4

vl805 firmware can be updated by following these instructions.

is it necessary
It depends on what version your board came with. The vl805 firmware
specifically is updated to lower temperatures.
But it's up to you..

The display is mainly to control players. Is your Pi4 just a LMS
server, or are you using is as a player. This is a fairly nice case
for the screen and pi. Updated for the Pi4, (I have a couple of the
