For the Rich-JS Angular uPortal front-end we are working on, we need to create a uPortal API for returning portlet markup without using the current EXCLUSIVE window-state strategy. As Anthony elaborated in

I am currently trying to use the simpleJSP portlet in the jasig-widgets-portlet in the uportal-portlet-overlay folder and instead of using the deploy-ear to deploy the portlet I am using the maven-uportal-plugin https://wiki.jasig.org/display/UPC/uPortal+Maven+Plugin to deploy. The plugin is
