The successful candidate will deliver data and information models that are complete, consistent and align to architecture standards and best practices. Models will represent the business view of information in the data model, and ensure that consistent names, structures, and modeling techniques are part of the delivered solution. Data model designs will implement the appropriate data model patterns for data warehouse and reporting platform development, operational data store development, and implement a canonical model structure where applicable. 1. Collaborate with client technical staff, business partners, and others to define and develop the models for the data warehouse, operational data store, and data movement/transformation model 2. Participates in multiple sprints for a project to model and design data structures 3. Participate in system and requirement sessions, peer reviews, and integrated design reviews 4. Understand the business definitions and how the data in the model will be used 5. Collaborate with application architects on data movement issues that may influence the data model design 6. Assess the quality and completeness of existing data needed for a project, as well as the information quality needs of the projects *Required Skills * - Minimum 5 years exp in data modeling. - Should have experience in creating and modifying normalized and dimensional models, as well as a thorough understanding of metadata, data mapping, and data profiling concepts - Must have demonstrated experience working in a team environment. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Must have proven ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. - Bachelor degree, preferably in computer science or related technical field *Preferred Skills: * - Kimball-style data warehouse modeling experience - Operational Data Store modeling experience - Exp with Embarcadero ER/Studio or CA ErWin is a Plus - Exp with Kalido Business Information Modeler, Sybase Power Designer is a plus *Work Site: * Hartford ,CT *Duration * 15+ Months *Expected Start Date*: Immediate – 2 weeks *Number of Positions* 1 *Job Title * *Data Analyst/Modeling - BI/Datawarehouse consultant* *Summary: * The Data Analyst/ Modeler will be primarily responsible for reverse engineering application code, document the model, lineage, and overall mapping documentation.
