Business Analysis
Meet with business units, and business partners to
understand key problem to be solved or opportunity to be realized.
Facilitate the elicitation and documentation of business and
functional requirements via Business Requirements workshops.
Use modeling techniques and tools to create intuitive
depiction of current and future state business process, system flows, or
activity diagrams.
Capture, Prioritize, Quantify and Articulate the stakeholder
needs.
Collaborate with project team to determine best possible solutions. Ensure
the design addresses business problem to be solved and it aligns with
long-term business initiatives. Leads the effort to develop new or revised
business processes/procedures in lieu of system development.
Carry-out the Assessment (high-level analysis) process for
project requests, production problems, product features, etc.
Provides leadership to project teams or provide mentoring in
all areas of business analysis.
Translate stakeholder needs into system requirements.
Drive the process by which system features are identified,
defined and analyzed as they relate to system functionality. Identify
system and testing scenarios.
Responsible for all artifacts and tasks produced in the
Requirements discipline of the Rational Unified Process (RUP). Will create
Use Cases, Models, Activity Diagrams, spreadsheets, and Supplementary
Specifications. Mockup and document user interfaces such as screens,
reports, letters, extracts.
Determine and document test scenarios and testing plans.
Identify SOA Integration/Services requirements. Translate
business data to ACORD compliant data model
Analysis and documentation of functions and rules (logic)
that need to be built to support the exchange of information internal and
external
Collaborate with project team to deliver the solution. Lead
or Participate in JAD sessions.
Defines, develops and provides information and analysis to
drive the decision-making process on projects. Provides recommendations
regarding issues, processes and procedures both internally and externally.
Ability to professionally present recommendations in a verbal or written
format. Directs problem resolution, functional level decision making,
communications and other associated activities during all phases of large,
complex projects.
Acts as a subject matter expertise on variety of
applications relevant to our business environment. Demonstrates proven
expertise and knowledge in technology or operational methods.
Provides leadership to project teams or provide mentoring to
folks translating stakeholder needs into system requirements.
Automation - Translate business and technical needs into automated
solutions.
Work with business and technical teams to clarify automation
requirements.
Design, develop, execute and maintain automated test scripts
using automation tools such as the IBM Rational toolset.
Build data-driven automated user interface testing suites,
utilizing IBM Rational Tools.
Create reusable test software and scripts aimed to improve
functional test coverage, schedule efficiency and manual effort.
Provides leadership to project teams or provide mentoring in
all areas of test automation tools and utilities.
Directs problem resolution, decision making, communication
and associated activities during all phase of the automation process.
Testing
Leads complex projects and acts as a mentor to team
members.
Directs problem resolution, decision making, communication
and other associated activities during all phase of testing.
Responsible for assigned test activities including
identifying scenarios for test plan; defining/creating test cases and
expected results and executing test cases
Manually keys data into systems along with utilizing
automated testing tools as much as possible.
Effectively analyzes root cause analysis for discrepancies
found in test case results. Will submit defect tickets to appropriate
resource. May be asked to work with technical staff in the resolution of
the ticket.
Execute test cycles and troubleshoot cycle problems.
Develop and maintain regression test plans and test
database, ensure that software quality assurance (SQA) standards are met and
validate that software solutions do not add risk to existing system
functionality.
Other
Identify inefficiencies, present recommended solutions, and
gain support for their resolution.
Responsible for initiating, creating, implementing and
maintaining methods to drive time/cost out of testing and business processes
using automation tools and techniques.

Skills
Require a minimum of 4-year degree in Computer Science or
MIS or equivalent education and/or experience.
Annuities (Financial) background or a background in Life
Insurance a must.
Exceptional Analytical Skills, Mathematical Skills,
Communication Skills a must.
7-8+ years experience within IT preferred.
Working knowledge of MS Office Suite, Rational suite of
tools, automated testing tools, Visio (UML), or Business Process Modeling
tool preferred.
