Description:
DSHS IT requires the services of a project manager to initiate and
lead new system development projects. The projects will implement new
software applications possibly including cloud technology, for the
Health Promotion and Chronic Disease Prevention Section (HPCDPS). The
worker will initiate the projects by conducting requirements
gathering, scope definition, and creation of business case and project
charter. The worker will prepare project plans including work
breakdown structure (WBS) and project schedule. The worker will lead
all phases of the application systems analysis and design and will
oversee the execution of design, development, code review, testing,
and implementation activities including data center services.
Further, the worker will facilitate communication between sponsors,
stakeholders, subject matter experts, and the contract development
team. Throughout the projects, the worker will be responsible for
status reporting, task planning, risk management, budgeting,
governance documentation, and management of user acceptance with
respect to project scope.
Special Requirements:
A. Worker may be accessing sensitive or confidential data; must be
able to pass a background check.
B. Worker will be required to complete IT Security Training and sign
Computer Use and Confidentiality/Non-Disclosure agreements.
Minimum Requirements:

5 Information Technology Project Management with PMP certification
5 Preparation of formal Business Case and Project Charter
5 Preparation of detailed WBS with project schedule using
Microsoft
Project
3 Preparation of project budgets
3 Management of technical software development staff
3 Management of customer oriented Integrated Product Team
3 Management of User Acceptance Testing
