Position: SQL DBA Location: Des Moines, IA Duration: 3 years + Client: Iowa Department of Revenue, State of IA Face 2 Face required Description: 1. Meet qualifications of an Information Technology Specialist 5 per State guidelines. 2. Have 5+ years of experience developing and installing database management systems. 3. Have 5+ years of experience in the design and development of complex MS SQL databases operating within a wide area network and internet applications in an environment similar to the Department. 4. Demonstrated expertise in relational database queries. 5. Knowledgeable in data transformation, BizTalk preferred. 6. Have senior-level expertise in the use of VB.Net, ASP.net, ADO.Net, and XML parsing, schema design and development. 7. Demonstrated experience in application of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) for development and deployment of web services. 8. Proven experience in the development of structured test scripts and plans for use in executing unit and system testing. Additionally, the individual selected must meet the following requirements: 1. Possess strong business writing and interpersonal skills necessary for customer contact. 2. Be capable of completing multiple assignments in a timely manner (perform work as assigned). 3. Adhere to Department and other written established work rules including all confidentiality and security requirements. 4. Must pass a criminal background check. 5. Must be up-to-date and in compliance with State of Iowa tax filing requirements. 6. Maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers, supervisors, and customers. 7. Be available for work at the Department’s central office location in Des Moines, IA no later than March 1, 2012 on a full time (40 hours a week) basis.
