ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - Oversees the enterprise level architecture and design of the companies local and wide area networks and related systems - Responsible for day to day maintenance and uptime of corporate LAN/WAN and related systems to meet published SLA’s - 80-90% hands on activity - Evaluates new technologies, conducts and schedules research, and makes technological recommendations that fit the Company’s LAN/WAN needs. - Maintains related network systems including, but not limited to Cisco VOIP system administration, Cisco LAN/WAN Wireless Hardware, Wireless Bridging, Voice and Data communications circuits, Software tools used to manage and monitor related systems, and Proactive management tools used for filtering internet traffic, fax communications, and device management. (Solarwinds and Whatsup Gold) - Directs the development and implementation of test and execution plans including the documentation of software / hardware features and functionality. - Performs other job-related tasks as assigned.
