*Position: Middleware Infrastructure Developer** **Location: Portland, OR** **Rate: $55/Hr on corp to corp ** **Duration: 3 Months* + *PURPOSE** * Provide technical specifications, development documentation, unit and system testing, environment construction, administration, and troubleshooting of IBM WebSphere Message Broker and MQ-Series environments, following corporate standards. *JOB FUNCTIONS* 1. Write detailed documentation for other developers and administrators to follow. 2. Troubleshoot infrastructure and possible application problems and propose optimal resolutions. 3. Assess capacity needs and provide customer service in an advisory role. 4. Develop interface technical designs and specifications for MQ-Series and Message Broker. 5. Patch, administer, optimize, and troubleshoot WebSphere Message Broker and MQ-Series environments on multiple operating systems. 6. Maintain and administer BMC Middleware Management environments. 7. Provide consultative services to various projects with regards to Message Broker and MQ-Series. 8. Be part of an on-call rotation and available for after hours support of critical production applications using Message Broker and MQ-Series. *BASIC QUALIFICATIONS* 9. 5 - 7 years of MQ-experience and 3-4 years of Message Broker experience. 10. Provide guidance and training to peers and to developers and administrators at lower levels. 11. Demonstrated knowledge Application Development Life Cycle and multiple server platforms (AIX, Solaris, and Microsoft Windows Server). 12. Demonstrated WebSphere Message Broker and MQ-series experience (on multiple versions) including: clustering and highly available environments, detailed knowledge of security settings and hardening, performance analysis, log analysis, configuration and development of message flows and data transformation, creation of clusters and stand-alone systems. 13. Demonstrated experience with various Message Broker adapter development and adapter frameworks, including SAP, IMS, and others. 14. Experience with web application servers (including WebSphere Application Server) and application messaging methodologies. 15. Capable of performing detailed unit, system and integration testing. 16. Provide on-call support as required. This may require evening and weekend work. 17. Develop and perform presentations and perform technical training when necessary. 18. Extensive experience with three tier enterprise web environment, enterprise change control, SOX requirements pertaining to change control and promotion from development, QA, staging, and production environments. 19.
