*Title: Technical Writer* *Location: Morrisville, NC* *Duration: 4 months* *Job Description:* · Looking for candidates with computer hardware engineering background · Engineering background that has moved on from code development · Field Support/Telecommunications equipment · Excellent communication and writing skills · Bill rate can be flexible based on the quality of candidate · Platform documentation has been requested to add Hardware Installation and Upgrade documentation to its doc suite. · This is a new responsibility as products in the portfolio transition to a primarily software centric model. Writes a variety of technical articles, reports, brochures, and/or manuals for documentation for a wide range of uses. May be responsible for coordinating the display of graphics and the production of the document. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of specialty and 2-4 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
