Duration: 6 Plus Months Rate:market Job Description: The primary responsibility of this position will be to migrate a set of critical applications from a legacy J2EE architecture into a modern open-source driven solution (SVN, Maven, Spring, Spring MVC). The ideal candidate is a results-oriented developer interested in working as part of a small technically focused team to deliver robust solutions in an Agile manner. The candidate will be responsible for design, development, unit-testing, and deployment of these applications throughout the full project life cycle primarily using RAD IDE 7.0 and WebSphere Application Server 6.1. Qualifications • 8+ years of experience. • Excellent technical and analytical skills. • Excellent communication and influence skills. • Knowledgeable and comfortable working in an Agile Environment. • Proven track record of delivering results. • Broad range of experiences and understanding with web/internet technologies. • Pragmatic approach to developing and maintaining Application Frameworks. • Experience with multiple technologies and design techniques. • Experience integrating disparate systems within large technology environments. • Experience re-platforming/migrating Legacy Applications. • In-depth knowledge and experience with Spring Framework. • In-depth knowledge and experience with Maven and Continuous Integration Systems.
