Scope of position:

The Java SE Developer will play an integral role in the production of the
Smart Order Routing and Internal Crossing capability within the core
platform, a highly flexible, low latency trading platform.



Responsibilities will include:

§         The implementation of core Java code, integration and optimization
of field developed custom code, bug fixing for existing features and
identifying performance bottlenecks.

§         The implementation of unit tests and automated functional tests to
improve quality and coverage.

§         The developer will work closely with staff in other groups to
assist in the creation of specifications, test plans, and documentation.



Main responsibilities:

§         Reviewing Specifications

§         Designing and Implementing core Java code and algorithms

§         Designing and Implementing Automated Tests Analysis

§         Resolution of Bugs



Required skills:

1. Financial Market Experience

2. core Java SE development experience

3. At least one of these:

(a) One year Swing programming experience

(b) One year network programming experience (socket level protocols)

(c) One year automated testing experience



Desired skill set:

§         Experienced with real-time systems, multithreading, performance
tuning

§         Proficient in Unix/Linux

§         Bright and energetic

§         Very thorough and committed to quality work

§         Very strong interest in learning about financial trading systems
