*Position Description *



 Actuate Technical Lead to join Data Warehouse Operations. This position
supports creation and maintenance of Actuate reports.

A primary responsibility is to ensure the stability of business critical
Actuate application processes and associated infrastructure.

Meet Defined SLA’s and deliver data to business for business reporting.
This role also requires strong interpersonal and teamwork

skills with strong work ethics.

*Role and Responsibilities *

•         Learn and follow appropriate internal processes for project
management and software development

•         Systems break/fix and troubleshooting Production failures.

•         Root cause analyses - Investigate and resolve data issues and
meet defined SLA’s of applications.

•         Turnovers and change deployments to be executed on a daily and
weekly basis.

•         Build and leverage tools: Standardize monitoring procedure,
provide "Ready for Business Reports” and notify the business unit of system
issues or failures in a timely manner.

Also provide the “End of Day Status reports” to business units.

•         Work closely with Actuate Engineering Team to develop tools,
Create Standards, best practices, guidelines for Application support.

•         Process Improvements – Identify areas for improvement and take
initiatives in - Automation to avoid any manual tasks, Enhance CMDB
Interface, Enhance the Knowledge base updates.



*Required Skills*

•         Extensive experience in designing and implementing Actuate
reporting solutions

•         Experience in handling iServer Administrative tasks and
maintenance

•         Experience or exposure to Actuate migration efforts

•         Strong data modeling skills

•         Strong business and communication skills

•         Excellent requirements analysis and documentation skills

•         2-3 years’ experience as a Team leading a team

•         5+ years’ experience implementing Actuate reporting solutions
required

•         Extensive experience with Actuate 10 / 11 suite of products is
required

•         Experience on *BIRT report suite and Programming.*

•         2+ years’ experience designing and developing dashboards

•         Excellent English language and communication skills

•         Ability to train and perform knowledge transfer

•         The ideal candidate will be able to work with a minimum of
supervision while ensuring the highest quality assurance and testing
standards

•         Provided end user training on Actuate 10/11

•         Must possess strong leadership skills and should have excellent
written and verbal communication skills, ability to create and maintain a
positive environment of shared success.

•         Ability to execute and prioritize a large number of tasks, and
resolve issues and resource conflicts without aid from direct manager or
project sponsor.

•         Knowledge of both the Windows and UNIX distributed environments.



* Desired Skills *

•         Ability to operate effectively in a large diverse work team.

•         Knowledge of project management processes

•         Effective customer relationship skills

•         2 years working Informatica v7/v8 is a Plus

•         Teradata V12

•         Business Objects XI R2 & R3

•         UNIX Shell scripting, Perl scripting

•         Tivoli Workload Scheduler JSC v8.2 & v8.3 Tool.

•         Exposure to ITIL framework

•         Exposure to programming languages (ASP.NET/Crystal Reports, Java)

•         Previous experience working at an investment bank
