*Job Details:-* Role : Linux Admin Location :NYC,NY Experience:5-8YEAR Client :Wipro *Responsibilities:* • Establishes Linux system by planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration, and testing of PC and server hardware, software, LAN and WAN networks, and Linux operating and system management systems; defining system and operational policies and procedures. • Maintains Linux system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating and system management systems; designing and running Linux system load/stress testing. • Secures Linux system by developing system access, monitoring, control, and evaluation; establishing and testing disaster recovery policies and procedures; completing back-ups; maintaining documentation. • The ability to use intelligence, scripting, and tools to manage change from development to testing to production environments. • Linux Expertise, with solid System Administration skills • Experience with shell scripting (bash or equivalent) • Strong system/networking debugging skills • Excellent verbal and written skills, along with outstanding customer service skills • Minimum 8 years related work experience *Technical Competencies:* • An ability to customize kernel run time parameters. Familiarity with Linux performance measurement tools such as iostat, iptraf, tcpdump, netstat, sar, nicstat, etc. • Deep knowledge of TCP stack: ability to customize and analyze TCP at run time. An ability to customize the Linux OS TCP parameters at run time.
