Position: Network Administrator Location: Marlborough, Massachusetts Duration: 6 Months Rate: Open, needs to be all inclusive *LOCAL CANDIDATES ARE PREFERRED* Network Administrator Job Details: As a key member of the Client network team, the Network Administrator is responsible for the support, administration and maintenance of Client’s LAN/WAN infrastructure across North America. The Network Administrator will provide standard IT operations functions for infrastructure and security including upgrades, performance analysis, configuration management, change management, incident management and problem management including: - Responsible for WAN, LAN, Wireless LAN, Internet, and intranet network maintenance, including routers and switches. - Assist in network infrastructure architecture, design and deployment. - Provide continuous improvement feedback by identifying network optimization opportunities. - Create and report on network health and utilization metrics and dashboards. - Responsible for owning and maintaining all infrastructure documentation and diagrams. - Contribute to the research and development of technical solutions. Network Administrator Mandatory Skills: - A minimum of five years of experience administering Cisco switches routers and firewalls. - A minimum of five years of experience administering Cisco routers with BGP (iBGP, eBGP), OSPF and other dynamic routing protocols. - Knowledge of network monitoring applications using SNMP, SNMP-trap and syslog. - Experience working in high availability environments. - Ability to work well both independently with minimum supervision and as part of a team. - Ability to multi task within a dynamic environment and manage competing priorities. - Attention to detail and high level of accuracy and strong problem solving abilities. - Excellent oral and written English communication skills. - Strong human relations and interpersonal skills. - A bachelor’s degree or college diploma in computer science, computer systems or equivalent work experience.
