Job Tittle :Cognos Developer Location Columbus OH Duration: 6 Months Contract Rate: $40/hr on C2c MAX. *Specific Position Summary :* - Cognos Developer will be responsible for modifying existing code and if needed develop new code, and or modify APIs, that tie into the firm's incident and request management systems (Peregrine Service Center, EURC, RSAM, and "home grown" systems). This individual should be well versed and experienced with lining up business objectives with Cognos product output. Once the Home Lending Technology's system is linked and functional, the Cognos Business Intelligence developer will have responsibility for assisting in the further building/development of business intelligence reports and dashboards. These components are based on IT Service Management and operational performance metrics. This includes assistance in new reports development, meeting with other team members, as well ass the business to determine needs, gather requirements, and present output. Advanced Cognos Developer skills, Cognos Report Studio, Framework Manager, Cognos Connection, Transformer (OLAP), and Query Studio are required. Throughout the process, the Cognos developed will document extensively the build environment and publish once complete. *-BI COMPETENCY CENTER Background, -strong plus* A successful candidate will have the ability to work closely with and across multiple teams. The individual should be a self-starter who demonstrates leadership, has good communications (oral and written) skills, and is able to explain solutions in common business language. *a) Hiring Qualifications* i) Experience, Knowledge, Skills (1) Proven analytical, planning, problem-solving and decision-making skills (a) 6 years preferred, 4 required (2) Proven ability to multi-task with rapidly-changing work priorities (a) 6 years preferred, 4 required ii) Education, Certifications, Licenses (1) Preferred: Bachelor's degree or higher, preferably in a technology/business related discipline, Professional Certifications in a defined development discipline.
