*z/OS Mainframe with HMC- Urgent Senior z/OS Mainframe Engineer LINCOLNSHIRE, IL 60069 Duration 12 Month(s) Contract* *Biggest aspects of this role is solid z/OS and HMC (IBM Hardware Management Console) experience* *Must-haves* - 10+ years of experience as a mainframe engineer - HMC (IBM Hardware Management Console) experience - EMC Storage experience - Data Domain - they need to understand what is in a basic backup, including the recover aspects, and the mechanics of it - Patch management - Experience with IBM z/OS, z/VM - Hardware upgrades and OS upgrades - VSAM, TSO - Backup recovery methods *Plusses *- ITIL - Project Management *Role *This company has gone into an offshore/offshore mixed model and from an application standpoint that has been in place for a couple of years. Because of that, a lot of the knowledge base that was on site is no longer there, so this consultant will hand hold the offshore presence. Example- help someone create a data set, help with errors with batch processing, migrate to IBM disk array, server consolidation, and application related break/fix issues.
